What could cause late period?!

Question: last time i had my period on the 4th of march. Usually next time it will come earlier...but i stil haven't got it. it isn't the first time i get it later, but I am kinda worried this time. i started going to fitness classe twice a week so do you think this can cause it to be late? I am very carefull with protection when I have sex, so I have never had ay problem. And I have never missed period in my entire life (since I have it). it has been about 12 years. so what do you think is causing that? thanks

I am always regular myself ( I can pretty much predict the exact hour when I will start). However, I did begin a strict diet and exercise routine about 6 months ago and was a little bit later for the first couple of months. I was told that it was because my body was not used to the different changes in my health habits and the hormones needed to adjust a little to the change. Do not know if that is 100% correct but that could be the cause.

It could be the change in your exercise routine.

My suggestion is to try birth control, it did wonders for me.

It is probably related to the increased exercise. Might want to get an EPT just in case...

Every 7 years or so a woman's body changes. You could be in the middle of that change which will effect your menstruation.

I would recommend two things - first an appointment with your gynecologist to rule out any issues. Second, get a copy of "Taking Control of Your Fertility". It's a wonderful book and I believe every woman should read this book cover to cover.

Good luck!
