Sweetheart, its your period and there is no set amount to have. Tell your Mum, you are not wrong. I remember my first time, and it was really scary. But you will get used to it, it just takes time. At your age, do not use tampons just yet, start with pads first, and graduate to tampons (if you wish) a little later. Relax a little, women all over the world go through the same and we all survive. Good luck.

it is ur period sometimes it can be a lot or very little blood. It changes. same thing happen to me sometimes a lot of blood ,sometimes very little. dont need to worry . well ur in yer puberty already so obviously its yer period

sounds normal, not too sure about the redish brown tho..

talk to your mum about it. You won't look like an idiot. Sounds like you may be about to get them. What you have is "spotting". A period is actually continuous bleeding for a few days, usually 7.
Also, redish brown in colour usually means it's older blood.

For some girls it can start out very light when they have their first period. When I had my second ever period I had a part of it where the period was very light in flow.

I know you don't want to tell your mom in case you might be wrong but I would recommend telling her so that she can help you keep an eye on this.

Dont worry..it is normal...its the starting of your periods.
tell your mom she will agree.
=)(p.s put a pad on);)

Yes, thats it. I started on Tuesday (still haven't told my Mum) and thats what happened.

Congrats =D

ya thats ur period it was exactly the same with me cept i was a bit younger than u
just tell ur mum i did n che got all exited n got me some pads n it was embarrassing n all but then it was over u no so its ok

aWww ! You've started your period. No-one can say how much your supposed to have on your first time. It can be heavy or light! It depends. Your Boobs will grow more, don't worry about them every-one gets them! Armpit hair, alot of my friends had them at the same age as you, nothing to worry about at ALL! Tell your mum because she has been through the same thing when she was younger. I just said to my mum, i think i'v started my period.. Bu i knew i have. She will get you the right things for your period... Things ike Tampons, parocetamol and things..

DONT WORRY THERE ARE LOADS OF GIRLS IN YOUR SITUATION!!

Good Luck!

you are 13 and you shave... interesting
lol sorry for the immaturity :]

Okay, I'm 14 now and I got my period when I was 13. And that's how mine looked, sort of a redish-brownish color. It wasn't lots of blood, and it shouldn't. It doesn't really matter how much blood there is. But if your already starting to get pubic hairs then yes it's your period. You should talk to your mom about this. I recommend it. Good Luck.
