It's impossible to guess at the cause and worrying will almost certainly just make it worse. Just get through this weekend and if it happens again in a month's time, see a doctor.

Now. Get a family member or friend in the car and down to the drug store for you. I would recommend *two* hot water bottles -- one for the front, one for the back. And a couple of naproxen from the pharmacist, which are available (in Australia, at least) over the counter, together with some paracetamol. Make sure you eat something with them because they can make you feel a bit queasy otherwise. I would suggest chocolate biscuits/cookies if you're feeling up to it, otherwise a piece of dry toast. You also need a cup of tea. And a blanket and a good DVD.

Rest assured, they will pass and you'll be alright!

fibroids are benign tumours, which grow on the outside, inside or within the smooth muscle in the wall of the uterus. They are not cancers. In very rare cases, a rapidly growing fibroid may become cancerous. I know you don't want to see a doctor but leaving it isn't the answer. If you catch it early, the earlier you'll fix it and the happier you'll be when its done with.

By the way, if you leave it for a long period of time it can even get to the point where you have to go in for surgery to get them removed (if they cannot treat it with anti bioctics) and i'm sure you don't want that. I don't care if your busy this has to be dealt with than whatever else is on your schedual!!
