Sweetheart don't be embarrassed. As long as you are not having any problems with the menstrual blood coming away freely when you have a period, then you are most likely normal.

The vaginal opening is different in every woman, and being different is what helps to make us all so interesting.

Lumpy, bumpy looking tissue around the opening is perfectly normal. And if you are a virgin then the hymen could well look like a blockage. What makes you think it's definately not the hymen?
Stop being so worried. Can you talk to your Mum, or a big sister or Aunt?

Sounds like you are describing the entrance to your vagina.

This sounds normal, don't worry about it.

I think you will find that you are describing your hymen. What makes you think that "its def not a hymen"?

Go to your doctor, don't put it off - just do it - you will feel better after getting the RIGHT advice. It is all good getting advice on here, but your doctor will give you the best course of action and identify what it is - you wont get that on here. Seriously, it might be scary to do - but it will pay off and you will mature by doing it. Good luck, stay positive, have a nice day : )

A gyne is the only person who can help you. You can sit there and worry about it until 2009, or you can put your big girl panties on and see an MD! I don't know of one woman who likes to go into the stirrups, but it's a part of being a woman, and we can stand it because we're strong.!!
