Girl question (females and doctors only?)?!

Question: ok,
so i have a friend and shes 15.
she has this discharge that sometimes smells bad and it gets chunky(its kinda white, from what she tells me)
she went to the doctor and they said it was ok....they told her that it is just the dead cells coming out.
so she wants me to ask if anyone out there has any solutions and/or home remedies.

&no,its not an infection or anything like that.

This should help you decide.

Once you start puberty a white and/or clear, non-foul smelling discharge (mucus) is normal. The vagina is self-cleaning. You will also have your own 'scent' (musky) and it will smell stronger to you than to others. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused. Trust me, you don't ever want it to go away.

Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.

Different types of infections:

Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching

Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva

Signs of trichomoniasis
A watery, yellowish or greenish bubbly discharge
An unpleasant odor
Pain and itching when urinating
Most apparent after your period

well that maens shes getting ready to start you should wear a pad. to keep it dowm.

Your friend should stick with her doctor's advice.

Dead cells coming out? Chunky and white? Well, I was always told that if a woman/girl has a foul smelling discharge that has the appearance of "cottage cheese", that it is indeed an infection. Did she have a pap test done?
She should go to a different doctor or a family planning clinic to get someone to help her. I can't see this getting better on its own..

That sounds likely and is nothing to worry about. As far as home remedies go then she should stay clear of them! Most doctors say that it is best to let your vagina clean itself. The vagina cleans itself naturally by producing mucous. Women and girls do not need to do anything to wash away vaginal discharge. The vagina gets rid of it alone all by itself and does a good job. It is important to note though that even healthy, clean vaginas may have a smell so don't worry about that.
Regular washing with warm water and mild soap during baths and showers will keep the outside of the vagina clean and healthy. Women and girls should avoid scented tampons, pad, powders and sprays. These products may increase a woman's chances of getting vaginal infections and can irritate the vagina making the discharge worse. I hope this helps.
