Itchy vagina...?!
Question: The passed 3 days the inside of my vagina lips & vagina has been itching like crazy!!! and scratch it until i have to stop cause it starts to hurt but it doesnt go away! it really starts to bother me at night/early morning...and a few days ago a little clearish/whitish slimey ball came out. Ive been taking Doryx for acne...ive been on it since 3/13/08. Also i havent had sex in over a year...so i dont shave/wax..i just leave it, is that healthy? and also sometimes i dont wipe when i pee cause im so tired in the mornings or late at night...so it just dries on my PJ's..and i dont wash it either because it always hurts when i pee the next day if i do. But this itch wont go away! any suggestions?

Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching
For a few women, a yeast infection can go away on it's own just after their period.
Antibiotics can cause a yeast infection. And your hygiene leaves a lot to be desired, you should wipe every time and wash daily. You don't have to shave or trim you pubic hair, it is serving to trap urine since you aren't wiping and could give you a baterial infection or a UTI.
It sounds like "Thrush" get some cream and an oral tablet and it will go away, try not to itch, it will irritate your vagina more.

The not wiping while you pee thing is so beyond me dude. That is very unhealthy and unsanitary. IF you are itching down there, remember to wipe when you pee, take warm (not hot) baths and grab some Vagisil from your local pharmacy, walmart, or target. If that doesn't help go ee your gynecologist. Also, ask your doctor or pharmacist what the side effects are for the Doryx. Best of luck!
Some antibiotics will cause women to get a yeast infection. That could be what it is, at least from what you have described. You can get Monistat 7 at your local grocery. This will eliviate and get rid of the itching and discharge do to the yeast infection.
sounds like a yeast infection from the acne antibiotics go to the doctor and for god sakes wipe after you pee -- next up you'll have a bladder and urinary tract infection...
