Are condoms more reliable than the pill?!

Question: Just curious, which protects you more from getting pregs? Apparently the condom can break, so you have to be careful, but sometimes the pill can stop working. Which is more reliable? Also, which is more comfortable - A tampon on a pad??? Haven't got my period, just curious :)

Quite the question there...
1. Condoms can break if they are out of date, defective, previously frozen, kept in a hot car or otherwise mistreated.
2. Condoms help prevent the spread of STDs and AIDs.
3. The pill is 99% reliable (no method is 100% expcept abstinence), but certain antibiotics can decrease the effectiveness of the pill. The pill also does not protect against STDs and AIDs.
4. The pill is subject to user error-forget to take it etc.
5. Tampon vs. Pad is an individual choice. Every woman choses differently for different reasons.

yes good condoms are way more effective then the pill. the pill is a 'just in case thing' but condoms can stop you from getting and stds also so ALWAYS where a condom

Taken properly, hormonal contraceptives provide the greatest level of protection against pregnancy. However, many people miss pills or take them at irregular times, which makes them less effective. All the same, if you're not in a committed and long term relationship in which both of you have received two clean std/hiv screenings spaced 6 months apart- you absolutely must wear condoms. The it's a bit of a hassle, but it's a hassle that'll save your life.

Nothing is 100% although condoms do work really well. There is a chance some might have tears and you can still get pregnant. Pills are good too, but never certain.

And tampons. pads feel like giant freakin diapers. and you can't feel a tampon.

If you take the pill as directed, at the same time every day, it can be up to 99.9% effective. Condoms are around 85%-88% effective- leaving too large a margin of error.

Your best bet against pregnancy is a contraceptive- be it the pill, the ring, the patch, an IUD, whatever- plus a backup like condoms or a spermicide.

I personally find tampons more comfortable but that's just a personal preference.

A condom can help also protect you sexually transmitted diseases . Also use the pill along with condom and be double protected. Answer to other question I prefer the pad because my periods are to heavy for just a tampon IT leaks so have to wear pad also so whats the point of both.

condom
