Any explanation for extremely painful and horrible periods?!

Question: When I have my period, I become nauseas, occasionally vomit, have slight diarrhea, have extremely bad pains/cramps through out my stomach, back, and thighs. I understand that all women suffer bad periods, but I'm a bit worried. This has been happening since I first had my period. Actually, it has progressively gotten worse. Sometimes it's good, other times.... really bad. Does anyone know any possibly explanations? My aunt supposable had periods as bad as mine when she was younger, and possibly worse. She cannot have kids. I'm 17 and recently I had a miscarriage. No one knows except my boyfriend and I. I didn't go to the doctor. It was only blood and tissue, but I'm certain that is what it was. All of the symptoms fit, and I have friends who did get checked out and experienced the same thing. I'm worried that I may follow in the same foot steps as her. Any suggestions?

I had awful, awful cramps that got worse over the years, to the point where I could not get out of bed on the first day of my period. If I did, I would get sick to my stomach and sometimes throw up. It turned out it was genetics--my grandmother used to have terrible cramps with her period, too. My doctor put me on birth control which lessened the symptoms, and made it more bearable.
I would suggest going to see a gynocologist and discussing your issues. It could just be genetics, but it could also be something more serious.

you could have endometreosis. only your dr can tell for sure. if left untreated then yes it can lead to infertility

I think you need a D & C to get rid of the excess lining that never come out with your miscarriage. Go to your doctor to get a referal to have the procedure done. All under the confidentiality act

A bit of discomfort is normal during periods but yours is a lot worse. You should go to a doctor and have a check up. There might be something wrong in your uterus or something and the earlier it will be treated the sooner you will be better. You might even save yourself from not having any children in the future.
