Ovary pain during period after tubal ligation, what could it be?!

Question: I had my tubes tied about 4 months ago. I also have PCOS. This is the 3rd time I've had my period since then, and besides my normal livable cramps, I got this TERRIBLE stabbing pain in my ovaries. I was so bad, it had me doubled over on the couch, and I had to take a Vicodin to make it go away. As of right now, it's still hurts when I move. Livable, but still annoying.

Yes, I read about post-tubal ligation syndrome before deciding to have my surgery, but decided it was worth the risk. My mom had her tubes tied, and told me she had this problem too for about a year, but it finally went away.

My concern is the cause. I'm afraid I might have developed some bad cysts since I have PCOS, but it could also just be pains from my still healing surgery. I didn't have this problem with my last 2 periods! Anyone who has had there tubes tied, did this happen to you, and did it eventually stop? I don't like the idea of having to take Vicodin every time my period shows up. Thanks!

This stabbing pain you are feeling is soooo normal I wish my dr. warned me about because I was worried too. Its been a year since my tubal and I will still feel the ovary stabbing pain once in a while during ovulation. It does eventually get better. Don't be worried. If you are worried about cysts, just know that most go away on their own and if you have the syptoms after 2 or 3 months I suggest going back to your dr. just to make sure. Good luck with everything
