I am 13 and will be 14 in may and I haven't got mine either! All my friends have theirs and i know what you mean i feel left out. My absolute best friend sophie says i am lucky and I don't want to have it, but i still do! I want mine to start because I feel such a baby and loser to be the last of my friends. No matter what anyone says they won't change my mind about wanting my period. Also when people ask me have i started my period I always feel embarassed when I say know. I always feel like I will never start and I will never have children, but I am glad that someone that is a similar age to me feels the same!

It's very normal for athletic girls to start their periods late.
You have nothing to worry about! Though if it doesn't start by 16 you need to see your doctor.

If you are worried, visit your doctor and they could tell you whats going on.

When did your mum start? Her mum? If you can somehow ask her it's an excellent indication of when you will. Your mum's siblings, your own...family members can help.

I started my period four years ago and have the same bra size as you. ;) But your periods are meant to start about two years after your breasts start developing.

If you're REALLY concerned, speak to your GP, even if it's just for more consolations. I know that you feel left out, but some girls don't even start until about 17...I know my cousin only started at that age. It's a waiting game, I'm afraid.

And sport can delay your period, but for your first time I'd say it's just what your body was programmed to do. Don't worry, just enjoy now and wait until it comes. There's not much you can naturally do to speed it up.

Good luck. x

Its proven that very athletic girls get their periods much later than those getting an average amount of activity. I wouldn't worry about it. Enjoy your freedom while it lasts!

If you're getting discharge often, then that is a clear sign you'll be getting your period soon. Wear panti liners until the big day, that way you won't be caught with bloody panties at an embarrassing moment! Every woman starts her period at a different date or age. My sister didn't start until she was 17! And I started at 13! I bet part of the problem is because you are athletic. Menstrual periods tend to be irregular or give woman missed periods when they are very athletic. I don't know why. So when you do finally start, don't be surprised if it doesn't come every month or on time. And no need to feel like you are missing out, the bloody mess every month and the miserable cramps, the stained panties, are no picnic! Hope you have your wish soon though and welcome to womanhood!

its normal

I know a couple of chickys who didnt get a visit from flo until they were 16 and 18. My mum was 9 and I was 13. We are all different chicky babe, there really is no such thing as normal, only what's normal for you. I know you've heard it but believe me, once you have them you'll wish you didn't make such a fuss. good luck xx

Well, u have a friend then..
Im 17 this year, just 17 last month..
I have my period when i was 14 or 15.. (forgot, im not sure)
But, i always have my period late and its late about 1 year, in fact sometime more than a year..

So, i decide to see a doctor, then he said its ok and he said dont worry, it will be normal when you maried or when you older..

But, still.. It late, now, its about since last October till now..
I havent got my period yet..

The puberty and the menstrual cycle are genetically and hormonally determined and different girls can have different development. It is very personal and pre-menstruation "signals" (strange discharges, breast tense, abdomen pain, etc.) can come 2-3 months or 11-12 months in advance. It depends how sensitive are you and how fast your hormones will jump up. Just don't be stressed because stress itself could make a delay.

No don't worry!
Its so normal for athletic girls to start their period later.
Don't worry your only 14.
People can start as late as maybe 17.
Don't worry!
It will happen in its own time.

:)
