Hydrocortizone is a steroid based product. It can lead to issues and problems you just don't want to deal with. Once or twice in a week or so would not be a big deal but if your nipples are itchy like mine were when I was pregnant you are going to need Lansinoh. It's specifically for nipples (works well on chapped lips, elbows, etc.) It's in the purple tube in the baby isle.

I wouldn't use steroids while you're pregnant. Consult your doctor.
