If you loose 5 pounds, is it suppose to be noticable?! please reassure me?!

Question: I have somewhat of a gut. Anyways, i went from 121 lbs to 116lbs in 3 weeks, on monday it will be my fourth. I am working out everyday, eating right. The problem is, I look exactly the same. Its really bothering the hell out of me. I want to give up. I don't want to get low, to 111lbs but my body looks the same! is it all in my head or am I expecting too much?! its not water weight for sure 100%

You're doing really well but don't focus on the actual amount of lbs you weigh, focus more on how your body feels and your clothes fit. As you work out, you'll gain muscle, which weighs more than fat anyway.

That's awesome you lost the weight-- I'm 120 and have the same problem. When I gain weight it goes straight to my gut/chest. I hate it. But I've found the ONLY way I lose it is to do crazy amounts of cardio. Like 3 miles a day, 5 days a week plus eating healthy.

I don't do that at all right now, which is why I'm rocking the pudge (Ugh. I feel for you seriously. It's annoying.) Even when I watch my diet and weighed 117, still had the pudge....but after about 1.5 months or so of serious cardio it started to go away. I weighed the exact same amount but my body fat went down. I also lost my boobs and most of my shape....haha. but the gut shrunk. It definitely didn't happen over night though. And also, It didn't go away completely. Unfortunately, I think some of us just have genes to carry extra fat storage around our midsection.

My advice I guess, is don't strive for perfection or overdue it. I try to tell myself my little tummy is cute because I'm pretty sure I just wasn't meant to have a 6 pack...haha. Exercise and eat right, but also, learn to appreciate your body as it is. :)

Not really.
Your body actually fluctuates 5 lbs throughout the day, so it's not going to have a HUGE effect.

how tall? 121 sounds thin. i think you're worrying too much. and 5 lbs is usually pretty hard to notice.
