40 day fast?!

Please tell me.....Im 186 pounds,12
and Im going on a 40 day water fast,How much weighht will I lose?Will I be skinnier?
Will I Look skinnier?
When will the results start to show?

I went on a 31 day, religious fast and I lost 7 pounds. When you start to eat again start off slowly so that you won't gain all of the weight back.

Fasting will never bring long term weight loss. Its very unhealthy. Since you are only 12 I would suggest riding your bike everyday for half an hour or talking a nice walk. Exercise and eat a little healthier, that is the secret to weight loss. It won't magically poof away. A max of two pounds a week is considered healthy.

On a 40 day fast, you'll lose all those 186 pounds....and your life as well.

I highly doubt that you're going to be able to sustain a 40 day fast with water only. It is very unhealthy, especially at your age. If you did do a 40 day water only fast, you will probably lose weight initially, but when you don't eat your body literally shuts down. The body's natural response is survival so it will shut down so that you can survive. Once that happens, you won't be losing any more weight because your metabolism will be so slow. You will also lose mainly muscle and not actual body fat. Your body is a machine, and you can't treat it like that and expect it to stay healthy.

You will lose a lot more weight if you eat a protein-based diet for 40 days.

I don't recommend going on a a water fast for forty days. I remember a couple Christmases ago the only think I ate was a few slices of bread and I drank lots of water and then on Christmas I fainted. It's not a good idea; that was only a day.

Fasting to lose weight is anorexia. Anorexia is NOT the answer. Why not exercise more or go on a diet? Go vegetarian or plan to exercise an hour a day for forty days.

Yes you will lose weight, but you won;t have amazing results. Fasting to lose weight will probably take off 5 pounds (10 pounds tops) and make you sick due to lack of nutrition. And, you probably won't look skinnier if you dont eat because all this does is burn some excess fat and deprive you of certain vitamins and minerals.

So, if you want to lose weight exercise and eat a healthier diet (which means eliminate candies and sweets and eat things the way you were in healthy portions). Or ask your doctor about it.

Just don't fast! Please! And anyways, you shouldnt be worried about your weight at 12, you should be focusing more on school. Trust me, I went through that phase (for a boy) and my mom told me to focus more on school and less on boys and school and that the girls who put those things over school would have a mediocre life now and a terrible life later because they were uneducated. And it was true. I'm successful and those girls who were always thinking about their appeal to boys have terrible lives now.

Dont do it!!!!! u will damage ur body!!! i'm 12 and u wanna eat nutritious food so that you will grow and excersize so that you will get to a healthly weight! if your really wanna loose weight eat a small portion of every meal and make sure it's healthly!!! also excersize w/friends and family!! GOOD LUCK!!!

please don't do that! you won't lose weight, you'll lose muscle and then after the 40 days anything you eat, your body will grab onto it and you'll gain weight.
if you want to lose weight you need to be patient. steamed fish/chicken lots of veggies, walk at night. you're young so the weight should start dropping off quickly if you are consistent.

thats not safe at all u could die u wont finish u will get hungry and eat
