You can, It just won't be effective for probably a minimum of 2-4 weeks. And, you may have bleeding during the week you should have your normal period and then the week when the pill makes you have your period. Your cycle will level out easier if you wait till the first Sunday after your period begins.

Since today is Sunday, and IF you are on your period, you can take them now.

If you aren't on your period, you'd need to ask your doctor.
