Ooohh- Razor Burn sucks down there--I know. I'm a swimmer and we have to "trim around the edges". Sometimes they can be painful when your underwear/swimsuit rubs along them. I think they form their mainly because that is just a really sensitive area, however, I have recently discovered that a little bit cortisone cream seems to work REALLY well in relieving both the pain and the bumps. You don't want to use lotions because the scent of lotions can cause further irritation. Also, cortisone cream is to be used on the outside only. Don't go putting it inside/directly near your internal genitalia

the same thing happened to me... i dont know why
but apply body cream on it... it helps... kindaa lol

Ingrown hairs.

Your pharmacy should have a spray which reduces the ingrown hair problem..........works wonders on MOST of the hairs

Yea, i get that sometimes too. If you dont itch it or anything then they should go away in about no longer than a week. Their just some bumps becuase its sensitive in that area.

what i do to keep from getting those bumps is shave away from how the hair grows instead of usually shaving towards..it works :)

that is called Razor Burn, painful huh? This happens cause the skin there is real sensitive. If you live in the US look for stuff called Coochie Shave Cream I find it at naughty stores, this stuff is the best ever to prevent razor burn. It is quite expensive but it is well worth it. to answer your question it can take about a week if you don't scratch it when it itches to go away.

It is normal...It varies with everyone..But takes an average of one week to go away!!

Next time you shave, shave in one direction using some kind of shaving cream or use hair remover. Disposable razors tends to give you these bumps, avoid using those.

It's just irritated hair follicles... I put Neosporin antibiotic ointment on the area immediately following any shaving... It prevents any infected or irritated hair follicles and keeps the area smooth and soft... I also use baby oil and that works as well as the neosporin.... but I would start with a neosporin type ointment in case you are sensitive to the perfumes in the baby oil.... I don't ever have the bump problem because I just out of habit use the neosporin and also, only shave when your skin is moist, like in the shower.... never of course dry shave but you already knew that, lol...

But try the Neosporin... it works great and it's cheap :o)

those r ingrown hairs. i think u should use a shaving cream... those r better.

what happens is after u shave (same thing happens on ur legs) the hair that grows back is coarser so it can have a hard time squeezing back through the hole,so it bends under ur skin and the skin above that hair turns red and it forms a bump. it can b painful to touch too. just put warm water on it. sometimes u will even get puss underneath. if u do, u have 2 deal w/the pain and pop it like a pimple. hair removal creams actually make the hair grow back finer so u dont have that problem, if u r rly nervous, just talk 2 ur doctor. until then, dont shave or anything. they will go away. and once they do, dont shave again bc clearly ur skin is sensitive to that stuff
