What are the chances of pregnancy after having taken birth control only for a we!
Question: Hi,
I started taking birth control on Sunday of last week when I got my period because the directions said that was okay. Yesterday, I had unprotected sex while on I was still on my period and was still really paranoid about getting pregnant so I ended up taking Plan B today. I talked to the pharmacist and they said it was okay, but I am still paranoid about it.
Also, HIV and other STDs aren't a problem. We are both clean & tested and in a monogamous relationship.
I just want to know if what I did was right. Thank you for your help.

You did right and won't be pregnant.
Well now that you have taken Plan B - your chances are very small. As for only being on bc for a week - it's risky depending on the type of bc you're on. It usually has it on the leaflet how many days you need to take it until you are safe - usually 14 i think or maybe one whole cycle for first time users
yeah it was the right thing
Taking forms of birth control are a preventive method to try and avoid a pregnancy, but remember when an entry is make, anything can happen.
