I am going to be very upfront and honest with you. This is not a question I would rely on other internet users for soley, in order to make a decision. You need to speak with the physician that prescribed your birth control for you in order to determine that. Only he or she is privy to your personal medical information and the risks you might face with a medication change in regards to your family medical history and other factors. Birth-control is a hormone and when adjusted by anyone other than a liscensed medical professional can have life-altering effects.

I needed to have an adjustment made to my BC for when I got married. There is a safe way to do this but it is different for everyone. Your doctor will be more than happy to let you know the steps you should take to push your period date back but please let him or her guide you with it OK? :-)

No.

nope sorry :(

lol... the same thing happened for me, and I am not sure how Yasmin-28 works or if it is different, but I just didn't stop taking the white pills even though I was supposed to start taking the pink ones so that I could have my period. It worked, because the embedded hormone stops you from shedding your uterus lining, and you don't bleed.
It's kind of a bad habit, so don't do it TOO often, but if you just skip your period this month and just move on to taking the next months pills, you shouldn't bleed and your prom could be potentially less embarrassing.
=)

Yes of course, don't listen to the people above me, they don't know what they're talking about. All you have to do is simply start a new pack of active pills instead of taking your sugar pills (just throw those away). I'm not sure what color yours are but for example my first 21 pills are white and my last 7 are orange. What i would do is just throw away my orange pills and start a new pack and take the white pills that sunday. It's totally safe, I do it all the time and have been for 5 years now. The next time you take your pills all the way through you'll just have a little heavier period.

Skip the inactive pills and go right to your next pack. This way you will not have your period.
