Ibuprofen tablets help me, thay seen to take the pain away really well.
Hot water bottles help too.
Moving around a bit sometines helps.
When I have a nasty one I stay in my P.J.s, get some corn flakes, melt chocolate mix it all up and sit on the sofa watch some comfort tv and eat it all! Its soo yummy and makes your tummy warm!
Feel better!!

If I cut salt out of my diet it totally decreases my cramps. Also, sometimes birth control pills can help with cramps. I take 4 advil and that helps with my cramps.

You need to see a gynecologist. You may have a condition, like endometriosis, which can cause very painful periods.

I feel for you, I started my periods when I was nine! Very young, and suffered a lot! Had unbelieveable back and stomach pain, I used to just take painkillers but they never worked :( At the age of 17 I got into a serious relationship and went on the pill, now although I'm no longer in the relationship, I am still on the pill as I get no periods and no pain!! It's great!!

I got like that and the doctor put me on the pill, Dianette, I think thats the right spelling - it settled down after a couple of months, the pain is bad, but can be fixed with a few nurofen. But even with the bad pain now its much better than before

Hope that helps

Awww sweety pie !
Hot water bottle , evening primrose oil , health food shops normally have really good things for girly problems if normal drugs dont work.
Some sort of anti spasmodic/cramping drug is needed me thinks.
Good Luck

My sister had very heavy and painful periods but it has decreased since she went on the pill. You may have to try a few different ones before you find one that works with your body.

you do need to keep hastling your doctor about this. my sister had the same problem as you for years and never had regular periods and was always in so much pain and more than me or my mum so we knew something couldnt be right, turned out she has endometriosis which can be quite serious, do get checked out and sometimes doctors jus make u go on the pill aswell to help but if it doesnt help then keep going back to the doc.
for now try hot water bottle on tummy that helps
hope you sort it soon
good luck

Just stay in bed!

Iron pills use to help me and making sure I eat plenty. I use to get HANUS pains when on my period. Also take midol at the FIRST signs of your period. I hope that helps.

Pill, ibuprofen and evening primrose oil. Worked for me!

How long has it been since your last GYN exam?

You most likely will need an ultrasound to determine the cause of this pain. I had the same thing as you and when I went to the doctor she prescribed an ultrasound.

During the ultrasound they found an ovarian cyst, and that was the cause of the very painful periods that I'd been having for so many months.

Call the GYN as soon as possible. Tell the nurse everything. Describe the pain completely and make an appointment ASAP.

Feel better...

my friend has the exact same problem. most of the time the pain in her stomach and sides are so bad that she can't come into school. her mum took her to the doctor and after her doctor gave her a number of different medecines that did not work she was put onto the pill. she says that it has helped her enormously and apparantly her mum had the exact same problem and was put onto the pill throughout her teenage years, eventually growing out of the problem. i hope that helps. i am not sure but i think you can get the pill from chemists without needing a prescription (but i dont really know so dont take my word for it). good luck xxx

REALLy, When I have mine, I feel no pain, no sickness, no backache, no stomach ache, no nohing.

Try a hot pillow or water bottle and see if that works.

awww thats unlucky, well i would go to your doctor and see if thier is anything that will help like diet, exercise, going on contraceptive, as some do help relieve it and make periods lighter apparently.
