Question: has anyone has a laparoscopy to remove scars and cysts caused by endometriosis? i want to know how the scars healed..do they show a lot? how was the recovery from the surgery? did anyone gain weight after the surgery? how long did the bloaing last? thank you

You'll have scars from the laproscopic surgery.
I had laproscopic surgery done for gallbladder surgery in February 1994 and my scars are still visible now.
My recovery took about four weeks. The first few days was very painful due to the air they pump in your belly. The bloating lasted a few days.
They do give you pain meds.
I lost a lot of weight from the surgery: I went down to a size 8 from a size 12.
My mom had that done when she went to get her bladder put into a sling. She didn't gain any weight, actually shes lost a lot (that she didn't need to lose) since then- but I don't know if it had anything to do with the surgery. She was down for about 5 weeks, and she said it was painful. But then again she had that other surgery with it too, so this post is pretty pointless now that I think about it.
