Taking the pill after plan B use?!

Question: I recently used Plan B and I got my period today. When should I continue with my pill? I normally start a new pack on Mondays, but since I just got my period today, should I wait until next Monday to start or should I start my new pack today? Thanks!

Start your birth control pill when you would normally start your pack. Don't change anything about your pill schedule.

Just curious - why did you take Plan B if you're already on the pill? Did you miss some pills and just want to be safe?

Thanks for answering - since you were off the pill for a month, you're essentially restarting the pill. You can start your pill today (first day of your period) and you won't need to use any backup birth control. If you want to wait until next Sunday or Monday, which is fine, just make sure you use a back-up birth control method for at least 7 days.
