Does your body know you are pregnant after conception?!
Question: What i mean is... although you cant tell you are pregnant doesnt the egg release a hormone after it has been fertalized?
If so what does this hormone cause to happen?
Cervix? Prepare the uterous wall?
Just curious really.

Your body doesn't really know it's pregnant until the little zygote decides to build a nest inside your uterus. After fertilization, the zygote (egg+ sperm) is growing very rapidly, but is also free-floating through the fallopian tubes. Once it implants in your uterine lining, the body decides to be a good host until the baby is mature enough to live outside the womb.
Yes, once you get pregnant your body knows it and it wont release egg cells every month until your baby is born. Which technically means you want have your period for 9 months
yeah your body knows right from the start. if an ovum is not fertilized the levels of progesterone and oestrogen drop causing the lining to shed. if the ovum is fertilized the embryo released human chorionic gonadatophin (HCG - what preg. tests look for.), this hormone stimulates the ovaries to keep producing progesterone which stops further ovulation and shedding of the lining.
