First time this is happening to me ? Dimple / dent on cervix ? Help ?!

Question: I got my period one week late last week. It lasted for 5 days [regular bleeding] then I spotted for 3 days after. Pink and brown discharge.

Today it's been one day since the spotting and my cervix is very high and it feels like there's a dimple / dent on my cervix. I feel very wet. I'm wet down there and very moist. My cervix is not that soft but not too hard either.

Does this mean that I'm ovulating ? Can I be ovulating if I just ended my period last week ? I kind of got thrown off by the spotting. .

Please help ? Anyone. I can't go to a doctor right now. No insurance. Please let me know. Thanks.

Spotting for three days after a 5 day long period is perfectly normal. It may be slightly irregular compared to your periods in the past but irregularities can be caused a variety of different things. The dent you're feeling is where sperm enters to fertilize an egg and where the baby will pass through during birth.

I'm pretty sure the softer it is, the closer you are to ovulation. If that's right, then it should mean you just ended/are about to end your cycle, if that makes sense to you. I wouldn't worry too much about this.

I know you can't see a doctor but it's always in your best interest to make sure you're insured that way when something really serious happens, you don't have to worry about the bills or becoming even more ill from holding off on seeing a physician.

Hope I helped.

This dimple/dent that you have noticed with your cervix could be a part of the cervix called the Os (an example only) or a cyst such as a Nabothian cyst (another example only) or even something called a polyp (yet another example) which is usually benign-non cancerous. Sometimes infection can cause spotting to occur such as with cervicitis (inflammation of the cervix) but this is just another example only.

The only way to know for sure is to see a doctor for further evaluation of the situation but because of your financial situation I would recommend checking with the city health dept to see if they offer a free health clinic that might be able to evaluate the situation for you. If not, check to see if a Medical School is close by that might be able to help evaluate the situation further.
