Should I be concerned enough to go to the doctor?!

Question: I skipped my period in January then I spotted for about 5 days in February. In March I had spotting for 7 days nothing for 4 days and started spotting again. It's now April and I have been spotting for two weeks with occational "gushes" .

I am 40 years old and have had my tubes ties for 10 years now. I've always had very heavy periods before, and they were usually pretty regular. Could this be menopause? If so what would the doctor do for me?

Menopause - pre-menopause....it's one of them. I'd go see the doctor - they can give you perscriptions to regulate things in your body - you shouldn't have to go thru all that spotting, etc....all the time.

my mum went through all this.....if you go to the drs they'll do a test on you to check your hormone levels to see if it is menopause, if it is they'll probaly percribe you with some HRT (hormone replacment treatment) but you dont have to take it there are other alternatives it doesnt work for everyone.
just go have it check out x

I don't know much about menopause, but it sounds like you should definetely see a doctor. Try this site. Good luck!

My mom went through the excalt same thing and she had her tubes tied ( 19 years ago) so i'm 90% positive it would be menopause.

There is over so many symptoms when going through menopause. The major ones are:

Irregular periods
Hot flashes
Night Sweat
Sore Joints

I don't think there's really anything they can do about it but you should go to the doctors to make sure everything is okay. Just be thankful you're finally done your period.

check with your doctor, if it is the menopause they can give you medicine/ advice on how to deal with it and what to expect in the future.
But if its something else the earlier you get a diagnosis the better chances of a succesful treatment.
