Vaginal bumps, redness?!

Question: This might sound stupid, but is the vagina supposed to be rather pink, skin color, or does it matter? I don't know if mine is more red than it should be, and I'm not sure if it has to do with eczema.. I also have bumps, which may be due to shaving, but I haven't done it in a long time because of razor burn and I'm too afraid to wax. I've asked my mom (I'm not sexually active, nor fully mature) and she said it's probably just from shaving. But I'm nervous and wary of going to a gynecologist because of the bumps and "redness" (not to mention hair because I have held off on it..) it looks very.. unattractive and embarrassing. I'm scared about it. The bumps are located not inside the labia (? I don't know if that makes sense) but on the edge, if that makes sense. I know I probably have to get an appointment.. because I've had to deal with smell as well, not seriously bad but just annoying. I'm also doing the wrong thing by using regular body wash. Help me, please.

it sounds normal to me. your vagina is supposed to be on the pinkish/red side. it's definately not eczema (i have eczema, so i know what it's like) eczema causes very dry, flaky, itchy skin. so unless you have all three of those, you don't have eczema. and eczema usually effects exposed skin (like your arms and legs). the bumps are most likely from shaving. every time i shave down there i get bumps too. it's just cuz that skin is a little more sensitive than the skin on the rest of your body. to soothe the bumps and razor burn use a lotion with aloe vera - the lotion will moisturize the skin and the aloe with soothe and heal the razor burn and bumps. it's nothing to worry about. just try shaving a little gentler will help too. good luck and hope this helps!!!

Don't be embarassed, I know it may sound scary, but I would go to your gynacologist, but i'm pretty sure your fine, also use vaginal wipes to wipe your vagina.
