I started shaving my public area when I was 12 years old. So if you would like to feel more comfortable and confident. Then I think you should totally go for it! Just take a really hot bath before, and use a new razor and good shaving cream.

First, you should put a good amount of shaving cream on. And shave in the direction your hair grows. Which means, you should shave downward.

Secondly, go over your pubic area while shaving up. Try using long slow strokes for both ways. And if you want to, since being your first time shaving and everything, you can go over once more.

Hope I helped. And don't freak out. Just take your time.

electric shaver and then a razor, or nair

I wouldn't shave the hole area, just the parts that show on your bathing suit. And waxing is always a better choice than shaving.also,if you shave the hole thing,it grows back very itchy.

You don't need to shave everything--just the stuff that sticks out of the bathing suit! Get into the shower with a new razor and some shaving cream. Wet your bikini line and rub shaving cream on it until you've worked up a good lather. CAREFULLY shave of the hair, and try not to go against the grain! You need to shave in the direction that the hair is pointing or else you risk getting bad razor burn. When you are done, apply some aloe or some other kind of soothing skin lotion and don't rub the area for an hour or so.

do not shave it will make you itch ask your mom to take you to walmart and buy some wax i know it hurts but if you shave it would look nasty after words trust me people will start to notice

use A LOT of shaving cream or gel or soap ... u MUST use a lubricant of some sort or it will hurt like HELL... ...experience

anyway.. then slowly and gently shave.. that spot can rly hurt if shaved improperly

be careful.. godd luckk!!

you could try waxing or shaving. but i would recommend just the bikini area on the sides and trim the rest. i would not use nair because alot of people are allergic to it. and having an allergic reaction down there would not be fun at all....

Why don't you just trim it?

I think that it would depend on how your own personal self as far as shaving goes. I could never shave myself down there because my crotch isn't like how my legs are smooth: one straight direction for the most part and I can easily see it. Obviously I have folds and curves down there and I don't think that I could not cut my crotch by mistake (ouch!)
I would say just trim the hair but do it VERY carefully and slowly. Hold the hair out by your fingers so that you don't get skin (trust me-it hurts so bad if you cut yourself!) Not to sound weird but you should take a mirror and look at yourself first so you know that 'alright, I have to be careful right there' or whatever.
Sorry to ramble on but I don't want you to cut yourself with a rasor or scissors! Just BE CAREFUL! Plus its super embarrassing to go to your mum and say "I was trimming my pubic hair and I cut my va-jay-jay"

Have fun at your party!

(you could also consider wearing skirted bottoms)

Dont shave the whole area! Just shave the sides, like do a even cute cut, and then if you have access to a hair buzzer you can do the rest with that, just so its short so no hairs can curl out of the suit, and be sure to use a new razor, and put lotion on after you do it. And after each shower too. Oh and dont go over the area to many times with the razor you dont want to get razor burn real bad. Good Luck!!
