Bad stomach pain, Help!!?!

Question: Above my belly button, almost to my breast, I keep getting these really sharp pains that last a few seconds then they will go away and come back off and on throughout the day. They are much worse after I eat. Sometimes I even get a little dizzy or lightheaded when they happen. I am not pregnate. I dont feel nausated and no diarrhea. Can someone please help. I am trying to schedule a dr. appt. but they dont have any openings till tommorrow. Please Help!!!

sounds like it's either ulcers or gallbladder colic (cramping). both cause pain that can come on after eating. foods that affect ulcers are spicy or acidic foods. gallbladder is irritated by fatty or greasy foods. try to eat healthily today and you should be fine if you wait until tomorrow (assuming you're not vomiting blood or have it in your stool).

It could be some kind of reflux or heartburn...get the appt for tomorrow

sharp pain could be an inflammation of the stomach, but it could also be a pulled muscle. If it gets really bad go to the hospital, but otherwise put up with it until you get to the doctor.

it might be a cist. I had one in my ovaries. I had no idea. but it was a little lower than where you are describing. if so, then maybe its something wrong with your spleen . you may feel lightheaded if it is a cist, you feel like that. you should get it checked out because if it bursts it causes a blackout and then extreme pain, however not particularly deadly.

Could be gallstones, go see your dr and get an ultrasound. Until then, avoid eating spicy or greasy foods, and dont eat too much at one sitting.

I believe you have heart burn. Still go to the doc, cuz he could prescribe something you can only get over the counter. Until then, quick remedies from home you could try when it happens are: eat some burnt toast, take 2-3 gulps of hot water from the faucett. My sis swears by prilosec- not sure if that prescription only, but you could always ask a pharmacist if there's something you could take in the meantime. Good luck!
