i got mine when i was almost 15 and it was at my house over winter break. the best way to prepare for it is to always have a pad with you wherever you go (in your purse and backpack are great places to hide them when at school or going to the mall with friends or something) and another thing to prepare is to ask your mom or older sister (if you have one, i'm the oldest, so it kinda sucked cuz i was too shy to ask my mom about it and it just kinda came up and surprised me) when she first got her period. chances are you will start pretty close to the same time. don't worry! it's nothing to be afraid of! it's more of a hassle than anything....just stay calm and relaxed when you first get it and everything should go smoothly :) good luck and hope this helps!!

At home, like early in the morning. It was kool i stayed home from skool :)

we had been out to dinner, when i came home to use the bathroom, there it was. if you're worried, start carrying a pad in your purse or back pack, that way you'll be prepared. you could even wear pantie liners so that it won't be messy if you start suddenly.
It's okay, it's not strange- I wanted to know the same thing before I got mine! Anyway, I got mine in the mall, luckily, it wasn't very heavey (just light spotting), so I was able to manage until I got home. Just keep some supplies (pads) in your purse so that you will always be prepared. Good luck!
i was at school, but thankfully it was really light at first cuz i didnt notice till i got home and went to the bathroom. saw blood. kinda freaked me out at first. and then i started crying. dont know why. lol
i get soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo emotional when i start my period. thankfully i got birth control last week and ill be starting it soon..maybe itll make that 'cry about everything' feeling go away

No. Thankfully I was in my house. If you feel yours is going to come anytime soon just carry a pad in your purse or whatever and you'll be prepared.

i started mine when i was 13, im 20 now! i was at home and there was only my dad in the house an was like oh my god, dad i think iv just started my period oh my what do i do lol n he was like oh chicken we will take you to the shop and get you some girly things lol bless!
well i first noticed mine in the middle of the night when i went to go to the bathroom. i also had a urinary tract infection so it hurt when i went to the bathroom. i was sooo scared and i had to wake up my mom!!! but on the plus side i got to miss part of school!! just keep supplies and youll be just fine!!~
