Do I still have shot at a growth spurt?!

Question: I have kinda always been the shortest or second to shortest throughout school but i find that most of my friends are not more than 2 inches taller than me while pretty much everyone in my class is 3 or more! I am 15 yr girl who is 5 and 3/4 of an inch. My father had a growth spurt of about six inches in his junior year but then again he's a guy. Do I still have a chance at reaching 5 4 or above? Or should I just get over it and learn to love the nickname shorty/elf/leprechaun ect.?

drink milk and exercise... and hang upside down

You can still grow! I grew 2 inches my junior year and Im a girl!!!

If yo're lucky lol, wouldnt count on it though. Sorry short stack.

u can, i know a girl from our school and she was the smallest in our year, though when she was about ur age she was suddenly taller than most of us.. ask ur parents and if they had the same experience as u did, and they had a growth spurt, maybe u still have a shot at it :)

I think it's reasonable to look forward to a possible growth spurt, but everyone is different so it's hard to say.

That being said, the human body doesn't stop growing/developing until around 19 or 20. You have at least 4 more years to gain a couple inches. Don't give up yet.

Also remember its important to accept who and what you are. I would learn responses to names like "shorty", "elf", ect.....

I'm 6'3" tall, and there are some advantages to being short. You'll always have plenty of legroom on airplanes and cars. You'll never have to be concerned around ceiling fans.... there are always other ways to look at it.

I don't remember exactly when I hit my growth spurt, but I'm 5'4" now. I was always one of the small kids in school. I don't think it was until my sophomore or junior year of high school that I grew to my current height and I was one of the younger ones in my class.

Especially if it runs in your family, there's always a chance.

Since you're a girl, you could add a couple inches with heeled shoes when you want to :)

And remember, there are people even shorter than you! I stopped growing in 8th grade at... 4 ft. 11 inches!

most people dont stop growing until they get to about 21 so youve got loads of time!

I started puberty when i was about 7, so for a couple of years I was the tallest kid in the class. But then by the time every one else hit puberty they all very quickly grew taller then me. I'm now 17 and only 5ft exactly, and I believe I stopped growing 3 years ago. So if my stories anything like yours then I'm sorry there's not alot of chance you will grow taller.
