yea...what is wrong with today's youth...
When I was growing up, my parents had nothing but positive things to say about me, (whether they were true or not....that's a different story lol) and i have a positive body image because of it.
Parents don't do this anymore?
yes its really dumb that they do that Im 14 and lots of my friends think they are fat. Its just a teen thing
YES. It is because the dominant media culture being hurled at them saying "you have to do this this and this to get a boyfriend and to be loved by anyone"
Screw the drive-by media and all it's relatives.
It's quite sad but nothing new. I've always been curvy - I don't mean fat, just curvy - and all my friends were like ironing boards, straight up and down, it made me feel, well, wrong, for want of a better word.
I look back now and think what a fool I was.
Who was it that said youth is wasted on the young?
What's more sad is that all of these 12 and 13 year old think that they're ready to be sexually active.
