WORRYING IS THE WORST THING YOU CAN DO!THE BODY IS A COMPLEX OF MARVELS. WHEN THINGS ARE GOING WRONG IT'S NATURAL DEFENCE IS TO SHUT DOWN. YOU ARE GOING THROUGH A VERY DIFFICULT TIME,AND AS YOU WELL KNOW NOT EATING IS TAKING AWAY THE VERY THING THAT YOUR BODY NEEDS IN ORDER TO SURVIVE.UNTIL YOU CAN BEGIN TO NOURISH YOURSELF AGAIN YOUR PERIODS WILL STAY ON HOLD.THE LAST THING A WEAK BODY NEEDS IS BLOOD LOSS! MY SWEETHEART HAVE YOU /ARE YOU HAVING HELP AND SUPPORT WITH YOUR DISORDER? THERE IS SO MUCH THAT CAN BE DONE NOWADAYS.JUST MORAL SUPPORT IS A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.IF AT ANY TIME YOU NEED A SHOULDER TO CRY ON ,OR SOMEONE TO YELL AT! I AM HERE .DONT HESITATE TO CONTACT ME, I AM NOT AN EXPERT ON THE SUBJECT,BUT I HAVE SUFFERED WITH ANOREXIA,IF I CAN PULL THROUGH SO CAN YOU!! I'M YEARS AHEAD OF YOU.YOU HAVE EVERYTHING TO LIVE FOR.PLEASE STAY STRONG AND I WILL BE THINKING OF YOU .XX

you really should consider going to the doctor! it sounds like you really could have hurt yourself inside!

Assuming everything else is mostly normal, you should menstruate when your body fat reaches about 12%.

i have no clue because ive never suffered from or no anyone who has suffered from an eating disorder...but its good to know your doing better....anyways about the question i recommend you talk to your doctor about that.

If you go to your doctor they may be able to help

You really need to check with your doctor.

Good luck

yeah my friend got her period a few months after ending her eating disorder. (anorexia

but that could just be her. ask your doc to make sure things are alright.

when u start putting on decent amounts of weight

it will start when ur body has the right amount of body fat(18-24%). it took me 3 years before mine started.

it never happned to me befor so i dont know ask ur doctor

You could have done damage to your reproductive system.. Ask your doctor and tell him what's going on. No one else can tell you since they don't know your case and aren't specialized.

Give your body time.

You reeked havoc on it.

Now it has to re-adjust to being "normal".

u shud go see a docter

once your body fat is higher that 12% they will come back, comgrats for defeating the disorder.

well usually you get it if your over 100 pounds, but it varies, dont worry :) it will come!

Periods are weird w/ eating disorders. It took me about a year and a half to get mine back after I went through treatment.

it shouldnt kill anyone to eat normal... that really annoys me that you said that
anyways, they'll probably get back on track soon! i suggest you take some iron pills. your blood supply is probably low

EDIT
find out your body fat by going to google.com type in BMI test and enter your info

keep eating ALOT more then when you were anorexic & when I said ALOT MORE I MEAN IT eat like 1/2-1lb portions of foodbut dont 4get to work out (:

go to the doctor....thats will definetly help a lot.

I think you should ask you doctor. Your body my not be fully recovered maybe that is why you have not gotten your period, it takes time to recover you need all the blood to support you. I might be wrong so talk to your doctor.

You should really talk to a doctor about this. If I had to guess I would say that you should get them back once you have been eating healthy for awhile and maintain a healthy weight.

I'd suggest going to a gynecologist or endocrinologist for advice and a check up. I hope your doing well and recovering from your eating disorder. Best of luck to you!

as soon as you maintain a healthy body weight for about 6 months they should come back. Keep eating and staying healthy and you should be back to normal soon.

if you hate eating maybe you can get a prescription for herb

It will take awhile for your body to get used to intaking all of the right vitamins again. When this happened to me i waited about a year. WHen it still hadn't come back, the doctor said it was because i am vegetarian my iron and protein stay low, but thats often the case with meat eaters too! You can take iron pills or just ask your doctor. Godd luvk and glad you are better!

Speak to your doctor.By the way well done for getting through your eating disorder be proud of yourself.

I don't know if this would help but my wife ha a simmaler problem and her docter put her on birth control, it seemed to work pretty good, but atleast consult a doctor before you try anything.

Do it soon, NOT having a period for too long can mess things up as well!

You should see a gynecologist, or ask your doctor. I don't know I'm no doctor but when you have an eating disorder it can permanently damage your organs. So I don't know please see a doctor for more information

Extra weight is disturbing menstrual cycle and disturbing also normal hormonal balance. It would not be recommended to make self-treatment. Better to visit your doctor and easily your menstrual cycle could be provoked and regular cycles could be controlled by pills.
