I was in French class at the time. About 12/13 years old. I was like, "..oh...that's inconvenient..." I didnt have anything with me. It wasnt gushing out or anything, just a few spots on my underwear i noticed when i went to the toilet. No pain or anything else, i had no idea it was coming really. One of my friends had a spare pantyliner though so i just borrowed that for the rest of the day.

And then i think i just added 'sanitary towels' to the shopping list, and my dad was "oh?" and i was "yep". lol. Used those for a year or so and then tried out tampons and have never looked back.

For the first year they're reeally irregular, mine were totally unpredictable and i did have a few accidents, usually at night. Early on you dont really get many things to help you realise it's about to come on. As you get older they become regular as clockwork and you usually get warning signs such as being more emotional, craving chocolate, tummy pains etc.

One bit of advise i suggest is, if you're approaching the age of starting them start carrying around just one pantyliner with you so you dont have the same dilemma i did!

Cramps! Keep some midol and a heating pad handy!

my period started whilst i was playing monopoly with my family!! lol!! mid game i kept feeling really weird rublimg sensations a bit lower then my stomach i had this huge erge to pee. and there it was!

lost the game of monopoly aswell. damn it. xx

it will be light at first but i recomend you keep a pad in your locker or book bag just in case

I Got Some Slight pains in my lower back. Nothing too painful or anything, so don't worry about it :D Everyones different.

i didn't really feel anything. it kinda just happened.
