I would venture to guess that would be a good clue, your period is probably on it's way so be prepared. Wear a mini pad each day just in case it comes at a ackward time then you will be ok. Womanhood is sooo wonderful.
It may be your first period beginning. A period generally begins with some brown icky discharge before turning to blood. If you don't start bleeding within a day or two, tell your mom/grandma/sister etc. to see what they say. I got my period when I was 12 and your situation sounds familiar to how it was. Generally every month you'll get a bit of that wonderful looking brown stuff coming out before the blood........
no, when your about to get your period, you start having cramps on your lower stomach. you can also brake-out or you get really moody. but it must be sooon. good luck! ;)
Chances are yes. But its nothing to be frightend about. I would just tell your mother, and get things "prepared" so your not frantically running to the store.

well not necessarily... it can be a sign that you'll get it... but sometimes it takes months before you really got it.... it depends on the discharge... my sis got it soon after she got that sign but for me... it tooks few months before i really got it....but i think.. im talking about different discharge....but just see what you see in few following days to make sure..
YES, it does sound as if you are very close to having your period. Let your mom know about this so she can buy you pads. The brown discharge is old blood. Very normal to have throughout your Life.

You may not flow normally (bright or true red) the first time or two, so give it a few months, or cycles. Light brown is definitely blood starting to shed from the lining of your uterus.

However, if you get unusual pain, swelling, or a strange/unpleasant discharge or odor, talk to a woman you trust about it. Otherwise, your perfectly normal and fine.
This is common ages 10 and up until they have their period. Even then, it still happens. Don't worry about it.
