Women being dry during sex?!

Question: Hello Ladies and Gents,

I am a 22 year old female. My husband and I were having some sex tonight, which we do often, and we had to stop because it was burning my vagina and it hurt. My husband said it was getting difficult for him because I was dry as a bone. I was really upset about this because (A) we never got to finish having sex and (b). I have never had this problem before. I don't know what could cause me to not create any lubricant, and I was pretty into it. I just finished my time of the month yesterday, and I worked out at the gym and then I came home and we had sex, so I don't know if any of those facts come in to play. I am not going to the doctor, as to this is the first occurance that I have had with this problem. Any insights or suggestions would be awesome.

Thanks all!

It comes and goes. Whenever you engage in sexual activities. If that should occur again you have to stop for a while and try to start back up a little later.

Most women go through this so don't get upset about it. It's just natural. Especially when you sexually active. Sometimes you have to give yourself breaks. Allow your body to rejuvinate itself. We are not sex machines although we wanna be. Especially with our spouses.

So my advice to you is to get you some lubricant for your body. engage into some f-Play. that helps out instead of jumping righ into it.

Astroglide.

just use some lubricants when this happens.

k.y
haha

You answered your own question.....Vaginas are usually dry after your period. This happens to me ALL the time. That is what they made KY Jelly! Don't beat yourself up, there is nothing to worry about!

The KY ?

KY Jelly is awesome, try the exotic and the intrigue.

if you douche...it dries you out.

get some oil, and jump back in bed!! it'll go away, your young

KY or astroglide

and they make some warming kinds....WOOT

are you kidding me, wait till later, go finish!!!

Sometimes switching positions can cause things to dry up. It also depends on the condom sometimes. Other times you just get dry. It's natural. I'd suggest keeping a bottle of KY within arms reach just in case! No sense in letting a little set-back ruin the night!

i dont have this problem.....how ever they do have personal lubricants that u can buy.........u can't have it hurting while u trying to get some...LOL

sometimes it gets like that and u may have to use ky or something..just means that you started too quickly or you are tired.

Loss of lubricity can be a problem, so i would have something like astroglide to help things along.

well i dont know what would cause it. there are a number of things but id say its normal. that very very rarely ever happens to me.. but maybe once or twice a year it will happen... otherwise im very well lubricated. it will happen sometimes just once or maybe a couple times in a row. then it disappears as quickly as it came.

he must not be turning you on enough. why dont you buy some lube, you can get it over the counter.

It could be attributed to stress or being preoccupied (though you did say you were in the moment). May be hormones, as you just finished you period. Certain medications have that side effect. I wouldn't worry about it.

If your taking any medication it could be drying you out. Otherwise your husband needs to take more time getting you "in the mood".

When my wife "sips the mule" she gets extremely wet. It never fails. You may want to try that.

I hope you soon saturate.

It happens, you may not ever find out why. Buy some lubricant and keep it on hand for those just in case moments. I really would not worry about it at all, just one of those things. I've had it happen to me too.

I know this doesn't help you at all, but I'm in the Navy. When we were on westpac, and the guys would get girls in a foreign port, there was a saying "If it's dry, it's a guy" He-She's.... hahah... It's pretty funny to see someone take home one from a bar.

As for your question... sorry, can't help.

nobody on here can really tell you what's up down there, so i'd suggest googling it for a while and just reading up some stuff about it. it should help you figure out what's going on.

however, i'd guess that even if you were really into it, i'd say that because you just ended your week yesterday, that already dries things out a little down there naturally (that's just how it is), and if you worked out, you may have made it a little unhappy down there. you should be ok though, just give it a few days and try again. i'd say go with the "third time's the charm" rule. if this happens 3 times in a row, THEN go talk to your ob/gyn. (or regular doctor, but i'd say the gyn would know best.)

hope this helps!

When at the gym, did you use the hot tub or pool? both of these can cause you to become dryer then normal.

Also you can bye over the counter lubes for use for women that have prolonged sexual incounters or just get dry. Go to a adult store in your area and ask to try out a few of the lubes.

Use two fingers and rub it together and see if it feels like it last for you and your body heat, also some will need a little water to relube again.

Well seeing that you just came home from work/gym your body was probably already exhausted. usually the first thing to go when the body is under stress is the repro system, simply because we dont need it to stay alive. Second of all, if you did just come home and were tired, you guy were probably just having a quicky and there wasnt any/if much foreplay. usually the foreplay before will help you stay juiced up after/during intercourse. also, again with the work/gym, if your mind was preoccupied, that can also cause dryness because the mind is the biggest erogenous zone.

it's never a good idea to have sex just after your period. next time wait to do it like three days after you stop and see if you are dry. if not then you know it's your period, but if you're still dry then it's other factors. i think it might be your period tho.... in any case whip out the lube babe if the problem persists and do it with no shame. ;-)

I have been married for 12 years and I can tell you that this is normal, just because it did not happen does not mean there is anything wrong. I would keep a bottle of lubricant beside the bed just for these occasions, also some times having it on hand can be fun literally. good luck.

A women's body is a very difficult thing to figure out. I am not an expert by any means but just have some lubricant handy if this happens again. I think if you have alot of foreplay at first that helps in the moist situation, if you know what I mean, but then again that could have absolutely nothing to do with it. Try that, tell hubby to tease and tease and try again to see if that helps. Enjoy!!!!!!!!

It is not uncommon to have this problem. It is usually hormonal, but at your age I wouldn't think that. WE need to be very aroused to get the juices going...but there are time when we have used up the normal fluids. With excercising it takes much of our natural hormones.
I would use some ORAL sex if that works for you..a little good ol fashion saliva will work and it gets you going faster.. you two can make it into your sex life and it can be tantalizing. But there is not a thing worng with the awsome KY warming lotion. IT IS way awsome if YOU put it on him and he puts it on you.
One last thing..being tired takes the fluids a while to catch up.. Don't be upset..just keep the good on hand for another fun day or night!

It's possible that you didn't get enough fluids after your workout and you were dehydrated. Unless it continues to be a problem, don't let it bother you. If you need to add lubrication in future, I recommend Wet.

Some women produce a lot of vaginal secretion naturally, whereas others are constitutionally drier. It is just the way they are made. It is absolutely normal.
There are factors that have an influence on natural lubrication levels, however. Sexual stimulation will certainly increase the level of secretion, so adequate and prolonged foreplay will certainly help.

have xxx with me and im sure you wont get dry...

u have husband 22 yrs old?
