Why do I get diarrhea when my periods start? and upper abdominal pain?!


Question: by upper abdominal pain, i mean epigastric. it feels like it's in the bowels. it's like the discomfort you have when you've eaten something bad. but this tends to happen just after my period has started.

any info about this please.

I get that too.

I'm pretty sure it's normal, and mine usually goes away after about the 2nd day I'm on it.

I don't really have any advice, I just usuaully suffer through it.
You might take something for the diarrhea though.

    • the abdominal pain might come because you are a very nervous person. and that's what is causing the diarrhea and discomfort. if you'd like i can suggest natural products you can take, that i assure, will help you immensely.
    Actually i had the same symptoms about 5 yrs ago and usually around my period time. I in fact went to see a women's specialist about this and found out that i had an ovarian cyst about the size of a lg peach. They took the cyst and had to take my ovary also. It was caused fr my periods and endometriosis i had all over. But i still got pregnant after that about 4 mo later (so i was able to still get pregnant). Since then i've been pain free and my periods r light and don't last but maybe 3-4 days top. It's worth checking into. I did...hope this helps...good luck
