Help me :)?!
Question: my friend cut herself on her arm because her boyfriend broke up with her after going out for 2 years and today she got called to the councler and some how she found out and she told her that her cat did it. so shes gana call me in her office tomorro and my friend told me to tell her that her cat did it but im not sure if i want ot lie....but i dont want ot betray my friend.....
because she is the popular girl at out school and we dont want anyone to find our about this little problem. she will never do it again.
should i tell the councelor and get her help even though she it the total oposite of emo. or should i lie ?

Its very very simple.
Don't lie. If your friend is cutting herself then she needs help. Better a mad friend then a dead or injured friend right?
I've went through the same thing but not because I was broken up with. I was in an abusive relationship and I started cutting. But I saw a counsler and talked about it and I haven't ever cut since. It's been about 5 years now. :)
If you're friend gets mad at you for spilling the truth just explained to her how you're concenerned. Tell her how you feel. And don't worry about people finding out, counslers have to keep that stuff private. The only way they'd have to tell anyone is 1. If she is under 16, they may tell her parents and 2. If the counsler believes she could harm herself or someone else. For example if she was suicidal or if she was going to hurt someone they'd have to notify law enforcement.
Just tell the truth. Your friend needs to talk things out with someone.
You shouldn't lie. Its a very serious issue, one that can get out of control if it is not taken care of quick. Besides its not 'emos' that cut themselves. Many people from different backgrounds do it for different reasons. It she doesn't get help now it may be worse next time. She says she will never do it again, but what happens next time she has another tough time in her life
She may hate you now for not lying for her but in the long run you may save her live
