Whats one more year to be with your parents that only care about you and the choices you are making in your life...

Rules are a part of life, and one day you will find yourself in those same shoes of your parents...shacking with your boyfriend isn't going to be all it's crack up to be for you..

You have it made I'm sure, living at home with parents, no bills to pay, etc....getting out on your own means doing grown up things, like working, making money to support yourself, buy your own stuff, and please don't depend on a man to take of you either...be independent..and at 17, you are ready to bust loose, but too young to live in the real world...

You sound just like my 17 year old...please hang in there, and complete school, don't have kids, and enjoy life and being a teenager while you can...life goes by fast...and if you do leave, its not the same if you ever go back home!!

I have been there and done that...speaking from wisdom..

Good Luck! and Be Smart :)

Get emancipated.

Though you're probably exaggerating. I doubt you parents have "INSANE BS RULES". You're 17, dating a 22 year old, your parents probably said you can't date him, so you're going to move out/run away with him and then he'll dump you later on in the game, and you'll be wondering why you left your family (who loves you) for this trick. Hooray for spoiled brats. But then again maybe they beat you or something, what do I know?

Emancipation is your only option. You can do this through the legal process, or by getting married, although, as a minor, you would have to have your parents' permission to do this (just the getting married, not the emancipation).

Listen to your parents. There is a reason for their rules.

he will get in trouble with the law. he is over 18 and you r not. if u get pregnant, he will go to jail for having sex with a minor.

im sure your boyfriend is a very wonderful guy but just for your own sake i hope you REALLY have thought this thru because if he screws you over, where are you going to go?

(cant u just wait till u turn 18?)

Check your state laws first cuz in some states he can go to jail and have to register as a sex offender so be careful.....

Emancipation. But since your parents' rules are probably along the lines of "you can't date a 22 year old man who is probably a total perv to be dating you" and "don't stay out all night"(and so on), I'd say that's a very bad choice. So stop acting like a brat, because this guy will probably use you and lose you as fast as he can. You'l lprobably thank your parents for it later.

You are 17. ALMOST 18...

What I'd do is stick it out a bit longer, make sure you save up money from your job (which I hope you have one!) and when you turn 18 get OUT of there and live with your b/f (I assume he has his own place).

How long till you are 18?

What kind of "BS Rules" do they have? How long have you two been dating?

BTW your profile says you are twenty one. So which is it? 17? or 21?
