Loestrin Fe/ Microgestin Fe users?!

Question: I recently started taking Microgestin Fe because I have very heavy periods with a LOT of cramping, but I have a light period nearly every week for a few days at a time. My doctor said it's normal for the first few months, but this is driving me crazy. Have any of you experienced this?
By the way, I used Ortho for a while before and never had this problem.

I'm going off of Loestrin Fe because the spotting never fully went away, I've got worse cramps than when I was off of birth control, I'm an emotional monster 3rd week into each pack & my skins never settled down. I've been taking it for 18 months, and it only seemed to get worse. Especially the emtional imbalance feeling. The only reason I stayed on it as long as I did was because my boobs were bigger than ever. I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for 4 years before switching to the Loestrin.

I spoke with my OB/GYN about it and she said some people react differently with each pill. She said since I'm a healthy 23 year old on no other medication, it was reasonable to suspect the Loestrin wasn't working for me. Hopefully your body will adjust to it, but don't get discouraged. I was told its trial and error, and you need to find the one that works best for you.
