Implanon implant very sore?!

Question: Is it normal for it to be sore like 48 hours after it was put in? From all the reviews and from talking to people I know who have it, they say theirs didn't hurt at all.

Also, the nurse just put a big plaster thing over it, not steri-strip like most others seemed to have. As there is no scab over the place she inserted it, will it not heal?

Mine hurt/was sore for about a week after i had it put in and there was some bruising too but in time it all went and its ok now :) Just try nto to knock or strain it and you'll be fine! xx

You can have tenderness and bruising for a few days- if it gets any worse get your Doctor check.

Just a thought are you allergic to plasters at all? Keep the area clean and dry where the implant was inserted

i just had my third implanon inserted about 2 weeks ago. It hurts occasionally when i bend my arm or pick up something heavy. It just feels like it pinches. It is getting better each day. Each time i have had one inserted, it hurts a bit. They bruise, so that would explain it.
Whats your pain tolerance like? It shouldn't be very sore like you mentioned.
It is quite a large needle, and you have had an object placed quite deep under your skin, so expect a bit of tenderness, but if it is a bit extreme, then just check back with your doctor.
