Relax! It sounds like you will be getting your period soon. I don't think that he would put you on hormones - when I went to my last physical, I hadn't gotten my period yet, and the doctor didn't even mention putting me on hormones. I got my period recently though, and I wouldn't be surprised if you did too! Just keep some pads in your purse so that you will be prepared. Oh, and if it makes you feel better, change your doctor to a woman. Good luck!

You will NOT want him to! Enjoy not having a period while you can. You will have it for many many miserable years. Enjoy the years that you dont.

There is no reason to force your period to start you're only 13! I know several people that didn't get a period until 16, 17 or even later. Your body will start menstruating when it is appropriate.

If the doctor sees obvious signs of a lack of hormone production--virtually no puberty characteristics--then they might be prescribed, but he most certainly won't do that to get your period to start.

Your body's got its own schedule and it'll come when it comes, so long as you're healthy. It's a hassle and may even make you feel unwell, so once it's part of your life, you may wonder why you were eager for it to happen.

I can't work out if you're worried he'll put you on the pills or if you WANT to be put on pills. Whichever it is, 14 is not too old to be waiting to start your period - you can sometimes wait till your 16 before this happens, so don't fret about it.

I wouldn't think he'd even mention it, but if you're worried, he'd be happy to talk things through with you. If you'd really rather see a woman, ask about it and I'm sure you'd be able to.

From the details you've added, I wouldn't be surprised if you get your period any day now, so stock up on protection and be prepared!
