This is REALLY awkward but...?!

Question: okay so this is really awkward but it's starting to make me nervous. well i've noticed lately (past few weeks or so) that have this strong odor "down there" and also some discharge but i can't tell if it's white or a yellow because most of my underwear is fairly dark. anyways its wet down there a lot and i can't cross my legs for even a minute because when i open them it feels all wet and almost sweaty or something (sorry this is so gross) and i can smell strongly. so i was wondering if this is something to be worried about? and what is it?
i am a virgin i've had my period for a really long time and i haven't masturbated in a long time either.
if this is something to worry about... how do i tell my mom? lol

10 points also(:

it's probably nothing to worry about. a lot of women are super sensitive to their own "scent" and 99% of the time nobody else can smell it. since you have mostly dark panties, but some cheap pantiliners. they will abosrb the discharge and you will be able to see what color it is. if it's clear/white, there's nothing to worry about. since you said that it feels really wet and you can't cross your legs because of it, you might want to see a gyno and he/she could prescribe something to slow it down. some women just over-produce discharge. it's not that you're unhealthy, you're body just likes to make more than what's needed. if you look at the pantiliner and see that it's any other color than clear/white (yellow, green...) you could have a yeast infection (if it's a yeast infection there will probably be other symptoms like burning and itching, but again you might just have that discharge part of it). buy some over-the-counter meds (monistat, vagisil, etc...) and it should clear up.
i wouldn't worry about talking about it to your mom. chances are she's had a yeast infection before and she might have some meds on hand that you could use instead of having to go to the store and get your own. if it's just that you have all that extra discharge, you could still talk to her and let her know that it bothers you a lot and makes you really uncomfortable. hopefully she'll be understanding and take you to the gyno.
good luck and hope this helps!

Have you been on antibiotics lately? If so they can cause yeast infection in females and you may need some cream to alleviate it, or eat regular yogurt it also helps get rid of it.

you should tell tell your mom cuz it might be a yeast infection.
then you can just get medication for it.
just say to your mom youve noticed discharge and you getting worried and just wanted to know if its normal.

first answer is a good one! Go see a doctor. (you can maybe have a friend drive you or something if you would rather not tell your mom right away) but you should tell your mom so she knows whats going on. just say hey mom I think I should get a doctor checkup. here is why. or you could write her alittle note or something. good luck to you honey!

You should just talk to your mom about it... it could be a number of things... but you should talk to her and possibly see a doctor... you can get some vaginal infections from really weird situautions.

it could be a yeast infection or some other type of infection caused by bacteria...mention your symptoms to your mom (i know it is dreadfully embarrassing) but you have to remember your mom is a woman too and she knows about the va-jay-jay :)

good luck!

yes, you should tell your mother and go to a doctor
You could have a bacterial infection, and you don't want it to spread to your tubes.

It's nothing to be embarressed about. I would say you have a yeast infection, or some kind of bacterial infection. If I were you, I would tell your mom, because if you do have an infection, it could be serious. If you have alot of discharge, I wouldn't be too worried, but the smell......... I would say that's not normal vaginal discharge. You should tell your mom, and call the doctor. Just get it checked out.

Nothing to worry about. This could be due to fungal infection and / or bacterial infection. Going to skin specialist and gynecologist is the best solution who would give some medicines and also local ointment to apply.

This has nothing to with masturbation.

Also you can share this with mom as she might have faced similar situations and she can guide you to correct doctor.
