i had my appendix taken out about 4 years ago and i was about.. 12? and i only had one incision made on the lower left side of my body. It hurt alot and took me about 6 months to back into gym class. I couldnt lift heavy weights and the bowel movements were very uneasy and took awhile so do not get frustrated! its just best to sleep all day drink LOTS of fluids and chicken noodle soup with some jello or italian ice. My appendix ruptured so i was in the hostpial for about. maybe a week or two and it was very painful since i was developing pnemonia. (sorry if i spelt that wrong.) But just relax alot and go to the doctor every week to get checked out to make sure an infection doesnt occur.

hope i helped! :)

Go back to your Doctor immediately and provide him the symptoms you are experiencing.

pain medication makes you constipated. i have very severe chronic health issues and am on alot of pain medication. i take laxatives and stool softeners daily and still go a week sometimes without a bowel movement. also, when they enter into your abdomen and irritate it with surgery, sometimes it can take a few days for your bowels to be moving correctly again. i would recommend eating lots of fruit, and drinking green tea. this will usually inspire a bowel movement. stay away from red meat and lots of carbs while you are constipated. i have had numerous surgeries, and know that the wounds themselves should not hurt very much. it concerns me that the pain medications are not helping with the pain from the cuts alone..those should not be painful. i also had them go in through my belly button on multiple occasions, but the incision never really bothered me. my guess about the stuff attached to your appendix would be scar tissue. but since you didn't have appendicitis, i wonder if they haven't found the cause of your pain. the scar tissue might be an indicator of something else, and since you are having belly button pain and it was difficult for them to get into, i wonder if you have a hernia. i would mention the pain to your doctors and ask if they saw any scar tissue. there shouldn't be scarring unless you have had a surgery there before, and something else may have put it there. do you have pelvic pain or low back pain? heavy periods and severe cramps? look up endometriosis. that's just one of the things i have, and i had surgery for it, and they found scarring because of it, and they wanted to remove my appendix because they weren't sure what it was at first. i hope all turns out well. i know it hurts, but never take more meds than prescribed. in january i had a ruptured appendix and it formed a giant abscess of poisonous fluid the size of a football in my pelvis. it was one of the worst experiences ever..but they didn't even remove the appendix! they drained the sack through a tube in my butt cheek for 4 weeks. it is too diseased and infected in there for them to take out the appendix now. i have alot of experience with surgeries, diseases, the body, pain meds, and doctors. feel free to email me with questions. i wish you the best!
