Don't be scared to tell your mom! Why are you scared? It's completely normal to get yeast infections for a young woman. Girls as little as 10 years old can get them because of being in a pool, wearing certain underwear. It's completely OK. I hope you don't think it's an STI (sexually transmitted infection) or anything because it isn't! It's just a fungal infection. Your mom will just get you some medicine for it from the drug store, and it'll all be ok, I promise. It's good you're getting a physical done, make sure you let the doctor know of all these symptoms and she/he will be able to guide you and let you know what to do. Meanwhile, tell your mom, and get some over-the-counter medicine for yeast infections. Also, wear regular ("granny panties") cotton undewear untill then. Good luck and no reason to be scared!

yeah sounds like you have a yeast infection! Dont worry about telling your mum, yeast infections are normal for women so she wont be embarassed or mad. She will just take you to the doc to make sure thats what is is, and then you will get the appropriate meds.

Aww, you really just need to tell your mom. I'm serious. If she's cleaning or something, just say 'mom, I think I have a yeast infection'

That's probably what it is. sry. it goes away really soon... of you have the right medication. Its just some cream you can put on it. I had it when I was little. it's no big deal. just tell your mom, its not that big of a thing. Ive had a yeast infection like 4 times. no biggie.

So what is your question?

Either go and buy a treatment for yeast, or ask for an appointment with the Dr. There's no reason to be embarrased about a yeast infection. Lots of people get them, sexually active or not. They can come from eating too much sugar, wearing clothes that are too tight for long periods of time (like tights & leotards), etc.

I think going to the Dr. would be the best since this is presumably your first infection. Just tell your mom that you are itching a lot and want to see the dr. before your physical to make sure everything is okay.

NO NOT NORMAL

can you go to planned parenthood? its confidential and free... it could be very serious and its very unconfortable and you NEED to get it checked out because its not going to go away on its own hunnie

its just a yeast infection and nothing to be ashamed of. you need to tell your mom so you can get treatment. its common among women and due to no fault of your own. it NOT an std its just a ph inbalance. dont be scared its no big deal.

You get yeast infection from sugar and thongs sometimes. So dont be too worried these are very common and you should tell your mom before it gets worse. I went through the same thing and it was caused my the sugar i was eating so dont be afraid if you think she will think its because of a sexual thing.

I've heard that Talcom Powder can help, but you need to tell your mom.
