Use a heating pad. most people use it on their back, but you can just lay it across your stomach or something. Or heat up an ice pack and use that. or take a hot shower. the heat really helps. Try drinking a lot of water too. Exercise helps A LOT!!! Get up and move around, even if u don't feel like it, it WILL help. I promise. I'm so sorry this happens to you. It really sucks. GOOD LUCK!!!

try taking motrin and if you have a heating pad lie with your stomach down on it. Also, caffine helps to relieve crap pains, so if you have any chocolate, coffee, or cafinated soda that should help. Good luck! i hate cramps....>:0

drink LOTS of water...and see if you can buy some theraputic warming packs that you can put around your abdomen to soothe the cramps or even just heat up a wash cloth and put it in a plastic bag and then wrap a towel around it...that or take a nice hot bath to try and relax your tummy muscles... the key thing is to get the muscles to relax.... hang in there! Hope this helped

are these period cramps or all over cramps? sometimes stiing in a hot tub or using a heating pad, or take some tylenol pm to help ease the pain enough for you to sleep. You need to see an obgyn. alot of other things can have to do with cramps. like how heavy you are bleeding, if you are wearing a tampon with too high of an absorbency range, ovarian cysts and a lot of other things. i have heard the eating potassium helps with cramps, but it never worked for me.

Nothing immediate. Sorry

You should talk to your doctor about this. You could have a condition like endometreosis.

I had cramps just like your describing. Nausa, pain from my knees into my lower back etc.... and the only thing that has ever worked is the pill.

Once I got on birth control, my cramps have been practically nonexistent or so dull that I barely even notice them.

I'm not sure about your age, but this could be a hard sell to your folks. They may feel strange about allowing you to take the pill.

I think there are formulations of the pill that are only meant to regulate your cycle but not effective enough to be a birth control, just a hormonal control. As I said before, a doctor will have more information and if your folks go with you and talk with the doctor too maybe you'll finally get the relief you need!

I feel for you! :(

i use dolfenal or any mefenamic acid. i think you should not use midol because i heard that it has bad side effects. just an advice.

If you are experiencing symptoms of menstrual cramps, it's important to see your doctor to be properly diagnosed.

Although certain natural remedies show some promise, there hasn't been enough research at this point to conclude they're effective. Here are some of the more popular natural remedies for menstrual cramps.

- Magnesium
- Acupressure
- Omega-3 Fatty Acids
- Low-fat diet
- Vitamin E
- Vitamin B1
- Heat (such as a heat pack, warm bath/shower)
- Aromatherapy
- Massage
- Calcium
- Chiropractic
- Exercise
- You could go to the chemist and ask them for something for the pain

I would recommend that if painful cramps during your period is so bad that it interferes with your daily activities or causes you to miss work/school because of it, that you definitely see your doctor/gynaecologist for further evaluation as painful periods can sometimes be caused by conditions such as endometriosis which can sometimes cause severe pain from an early age (although the pain typically gets worse as the disease does more damage with each monthly cycle). Other causes can include fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease and sometimes a narrowing of the cervix.

Hope this helps. Good luck :)
