Honestly, I have never heard anything about coffee stunting (stopping) growth in adolescents. What can hinder your growth or at least affect your bones, is the phosphorous contained in sodas. What coffee does do (at least with the caffeinated variety) is mess with your ability to sleep because of its stimulant properties. If you are drinking a lot of it, you might want to cut back so that you get an adequate amount of rest every night (which for someone your age is between 8-10 hours per night). I hope this helps!

I think genetics play a bigger role.

It will definitely not stop your growth, but there have been studies that suggest is "stunts" growth. That would happen with any drug you are taking at a young age.

Keep it to one cup of coffee a day, if that.

Good luck!

Oh lord girl, coffee is just like cigarette smoker and those two go hand in hand. I'm a coffee drinker for 35 yrs. not to tell my age. It will be one of the habits you will ever have to break. Just believe me on this.

no.
my boyfriend drinks coffee all the time and he's like
O.O tall. at least to me.

im 4' 11'' he's 5' 6''
we're 16

There are studies that have shown that very high levels of caffeine can stunt growth, but the amount you would get from drinking coffee would not have this effect. The basic idea behind this study is that caffeine can affect calcium absorption, which is vital for bone health.

I've been drinking coffee ever since i was 4 (yes that's four) years old. Literally. I'm 5'5"
