How do I remove a tampon that is difficult to remove?!

Question: I'm 17 and I have yet to use a tampax pearl tampon (super) until last night before I went to bed. I felt a little bit of discomfort but I thought that was normal for the first time, but rereading the directions it was not supposed to be uncomfortable at all. I woke up this morning, 11 hours since I put it in, and I still feel a little bit of discomfort but I tried taking it out and it hurts very badly. What should I do?

Have a bath and pull it out in the bathtub. The problem is possibly dryness so being in the water should help. Another idea would be to rub some vaseline around your vulva and gently/slowly pull out the tampon.

A bit of advice. Only use the super size when you are having an extremely heavy period and only in the middle of your period when the flow is heavy. You don't need that size unless you are & generally teenagers don't need that size of tampon. Supersize tampons can lead to toxic shock so should only be used rarely especially at your age.

If you still cannot remove it go to the doctors.

Pull it out very slowly...it's got to come out.

GET A DOCTOR STAT! YOUR ONLY SUPPOSED TO LEAVE IT IN FOR 4-8 HOURS AT A TIME! YOU COULD CAUSE TSS! GET IT OUT NOW!

First of all, relax. When you tense up it makes removal more difficult. The problem is that you used a tampon that has too much absorbancy for your flow.
Just relax, squat down and pull steadily and gently.

Yes, you've got to get it out! If you can't do it, ask your mom or go to the ER. That is way too long to have a tampon in, you can get very sick. Good luck

Phone NHS 24. 08454242424. Do this as soon as you can.

Use a lubricant like KY Gel. Relax squat and gently pull. Sometimes it is easier in a hot bath. But get it out quickly or get help.

you are NOT meant to wear tampons for longer than 4-8 hours. and not to sleep either.
sometimes tampons dont come out easily if they have not absorbed enough yet.
you are probably ok, but maybe pop in to a doctor to see if everything is alright

Use a bit of vaseline or other lube on your finger and gently reach in and pull the tampon down. It MUST come out. Use plenty of lube to help the process, and it will be less painful. You must get that tampon out as soon as possible. If you felt discomfort inserting it, it may not be inserted correctly. It's possible the thing didn't go in properly, and folded up a bit inside you.

you have to take it out!!!!!!!!! its not suppost to be in there any more than eight hours! MAXIMUM!!! you could get tss! also you should maybe go and see your GP about it to.

First of all, you can't sleep in tampons. That will cause TSS. Second, you have to get out, because you have left in for too long already. You can't leave it in any longer so it can get more saturated, which could be the problem.

NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!

Its got to come out. Leaving in for that long isnt recommended. Its going to hurt, but just pull it out slowly
