How bad does Gardasil really hurt?!

Question: My friend said it was the worst shot ever. She said they hold it in your arm for a long time and you can feel the liquid going in. Another told me it felt like a normal shot and didn't hurt until afterwards. I'm getting it pretty soon and I want to be prepared.

It's just like any other shot. Don't worry about it. Your arm might be a little sore afterwards, but nothing major. It kinda feels like someone is pinching you for 3 seconds when they give it to you, but that's it.

The Gardasil shot doesn't prevent STD's, it prevent cervical cancer. It barely has anything to do with having sex, except for getting HPV. You know nothing, you unintelligent twit. You're probably the slutty whore.

It hurts like any other shot. Ouch!

Ok first I just want to respond to the first answerer by saying that getting this now is going to protect you even when you are married and having sex... men pass on HPV very easily and usually have no symptoms and it is necessary for girls to get it at a young age for it to be effective.

Now for you question, it will hurt much like another shot. This varies from person to person however. My younger cousins went to get their shots recently, I went with them, one cried tremendously, the other was just fine. Its more the individual. If you are squeemish or sensitive to these things expect alot of pain. Reguardless it is best to expect the worst and prepare for it.

It's just a normal shot. The injection site might be itchy a bit afterwards, but it is not too bad. Tetanus shots hurt much more.

The actual shot part is just like a normal shot. However I found that once they took the needle out it hurt. Not too bad, but it still hurt. It depends on how your nurse does shots, how experienced she is. Ask her to go slow, because it makes it a lot easier.
