What do YOU pay on "sliding-scale" birth control?!

Question: I know it is based on income and what not but what do you personally pay and what type are you on? Did you get it from Planned Parenthood?
I am 17 and do not have a job and very little spending money with the economy being what it is, how much might it cost for me?

i could get my pills free from family planning for about 4-5 years, but left whatever I could. Anywhere from $20-75 for a year's supply of bc pills plus pelvic exam. Plenty of people can't leave anything, so don't feel bad if you can't. Just remember that there are REALLY poor people who LITERALLY DO NOT HAVE A DIME TO SPARE and desperately need the free care they receive at these clinics. Even $5 helps their care continue.

Planned Parenthood is great for this. Unless you are making over 30,000 dollars a year, you can get free birth control/ appointments.
Since you don't have a job, you will probably be able to get free care. I would definitely call them and check it out.

Good luck!

Please visit www.nachc.com and find a community health center near you. There are MANY resources both on a state and a federal level that provide birth control at low to no cost. Call your state's Department of Health and Human Services (or it's equivalent) for more information. Planned parenthood may or may not be your best option for providing birth control.

while i was a teen planned parenthood charged me $3 a month but that was when they had government funding.
