I am 15 and play for a football (soccer) team. we have really light white shorts that go see-through, and im worried about when i get my period what will happen if i leak. Well unfortunately hun there really isn't much you can do. You can start by changing your pad right before a game or practice starts (and make sure you wear a pad with wings that is designed for a heavier flow) and then if you can get away check on it once an hour or so to reassure yourself that there are no leaks. Is it possible for you to wear black shorts under the white ones? Like spandex type shorts, cause that would help quite a bit. Besides that all you can really do is just be as careful as possible and try not to worry about it. It's not a huge deal if it happens, after all it is just a natural part of life and it is hard for you to control your blood flood, I mean it's not like you can order it to stop for the game...lol... that would be hilarious if we could do that!
Anyway try not to worry about it ok, I'm sure you won't leak and everything will be fine.
Blessings

If your in Goal, don't worry about it.
I would just wear an overnight pad when playing. They may be bulking, but since your going to be moving so much, the blood will be going in all direction, and the larger pad will help. Plus it's a larger absorber.

you could always petition to the school that the team uniform color choice is too reveling. If you say it makes you uncomfortable that they are see -through i am sure others on the team feel the same, maybe you can change the shorts color with permission from coach to the other school color

you may want to try longer pads, some with wings, that would help alot, and if that doesn't work, you may want to try tampons.

Buy a bigger Pad, it may feel a little strange but better strange than the embarrassment of "Blood Show"

Definately wear a thicker pad.
Also try wearing tight black shorts under your white soccer shorts, because they are large arnt they? Mine are black so im safe, but I still wear black tight short underneath!

An extra long pad (around 30cm or so) is necessary. Also i would suggest you to wear a tight, high-waist, cotton underwear. Tight in a way it is stretchy, not loose and baggy and wont move around when you move,so that you can keep everything in place =) And high-waist has a better support and cotton helps to absorb sweat. That way, you wont be feeling uncomfortable and can concentrate in your games.
Have fun playing football.

I would wear an overnight pad. But I would also wear spandex shorts underneath the white shorts. If your uniform shirt is red, then I would get a red pair of spandex/biker shorts to wear. That way you'll look like you want to wear them, rather then have to wear them.

candiegi is right. overnight pads would b best but tive cotta say that wearing 1 stil wont give u 100%reasurence that u wont leak. Worryin about leakinn blood will take ur mind of the game n distract u so i recomend, if u wanna play ur best in soccer, then wearing a tampon would keep u confident. I no u sed u dont wear tampons, but i have 2 say its best. I'm in a soccer team myself and all the othyer girls wear tampons wen there on and playing. I was scared of them at first but they work great and I never ever leak with them. I just go to the toilet b4 the match, put the tampon in and take it straight out again after the match, and replace it with a pad. Its seriously the best solution. If u r still self-consious about leaking, then theres nothing wrong with wearing a tampon AND a pad, just to be sure :) hope i've helped, and good luck with the soccer x

if you arent on your period but it is coming up wear a liner [thin pad] but if you are on your period wear an overnight pad

why dont you want to wear tampons?

there really good.
