What is the best way to wash the vaginal area?!

Question: I use to rinse it out with my regualr body soap when i showered until i developed a yeast and bacterial infection so...now i only use water to wash that area...when in the shower i just squat and rinse out with warm water (my gyno told me to stay away from harsh soap due to the fact that it can throw off the ph balance of the vagina causing things like yeast and bacterial infections this includes summers eve products) I still feel like water is not enough or should warm water be enough to keep it fresh and clean?

Your description almost sounds like you were using the soap internally, if this is the case that is what caused the infection. Dr. Oz answered this question on Oprah, he described the vagina as a self cleaning oven and using any product for internal cleansing throws off your ph. He further explained that you should wash the external genital area with good old soap and water.

i use aveeno my doctor actually told me that that is the best brand to wash the vaginal area with. And not all soaps do that but i guess it all depends and its different to other people.

I gently wash my labia with warm water and a gentle soap like dove.

you could try holy water
