No, you are not cured. It is my understanding, there is not a cure for PCOS. There are treatments, but no cures :(.

There are some very good meds on the market now, so talk with your Dr. about them.

You can also go to http://forums.obgyn.net/womens-health and post questions to MDs. There is also a PCOS forum on OBGYN.net that you can read and post as well.

No, you are not "cured." People with PCOS have IRREGULAR periods -- meaning sometimes they get them, and sometimes they don't. Just because you got your period for the first time in 8 months doesn't mean that you're "cured" of anything.
